What are web beacons?
UNIVIRTUAL sometimes places advertising on third-party websites. In order to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, we may use visitor identification technology such as "web beacons" or "action tags" to count visitors arriving on our website after clicking on a UNIVIRTUAL advertisement on a third party website. This technology is not used to access your personal information, but simply to gather general statistics about our visitors, allowing us to evaluate the impact of our advertisements.
What is a cookie ?
Cookies are technologies that allow websites to store fragments of information, called "identifiers", in your browser. This data is used during your visit and returned to the site on subsequent visits or to other pages that recognize these cookies. Their operation aims to optimize the site or improve its performance, while providing information to site administrators. These small files perform various functions, such as making it easier to navigate between pages, saving your preferences, and generally enhancing the user experience. For example, they may indicate whether you have visited the site before or whether this is your first visit. Additionally, they help display more relevant online ads based on your interests and preferences. When you accessed the website, you were given the option to accept all cookies, of certain categories, or to refuse all non-obligatory cookies. If you have given your consent to some or all cookies, the information presented here only concerns those used on the website. It should be noted that this authorization or refusal is limited to the site www.univirtual.ch specifically, and does not concern the Group's other sites or the pages hyperlinked to our website. For more details on the cookies used by these other websites, please see their privacy policies or cookie policies.
There are two main categories of cookies:
- First-party cookies that are sent directly to your device.
- Third-party cookies which are sent by a third party on our behalf.
The length of time cookies remain on your computer or mobile device may vary. Some are "session cookies", remaining only when your browser is open and automatically deleted when it is closed. Others are "permanent", persisting after you close the browser, allowing the website to recognize your device when you reopen your browser to browse the Internet again. However, you have the possibility to delete cookies from your browser after visiting the website, using the latter's settings.
